Brimscombe Mill: Our Forever Home!

We Did It—Thanks to YOU!

After months of uncertainty, we are thrilled to announce that Brimscombe Mill is officially our forever home! Thanks to the generous support of an investor, a new sale has been completed, and we now have a long-term lease. This means we can continue to see our community grow and thrive in the place we love.

This incredible outcome is the result of massive goodwill from all sides: our previous landlord, our supportive community, and, of course, the generosity of the investor. To say we are excited, thankful, and hugely relieved is an understatement—this is far more than we could have imagined!

This incredible work to save Brimscombe Mill wouldn’t be possible without this epic community. Without your support, love, and feet at the Mill, we wouldn’t be where we are today. Thank you!

And it calls for celebration! With such a seismic thing happening as the Mill becomes our forever home, we can’t wait to celebrate with you.

Below are some FAQs you might have…

What has just occurred? Why are we celebrating?

The sale of Brimscombe Mill from our current landlord to a new owner has taken place. This new local investor has purchased the site in order to provide a long-term lease to The Stroud Grace Network and its social enterprises who all trade out of Brimscombe Mill. This sale and associated new lease enables us to stay at Brimscombe Mill for the long term which is incredible news

Who is the new incoming owner of Brimscombe Mill?

The individual is local and familiar with our community and site. Their name is not a secret but neither do they want to make a great fanfare about what they have done for us. We are blown away by their generosity and what they have done and are doing for us and this community.

What about the current owner of Brimscombe Mill?

We are also thankful to the current and recent owner of Brimscombe Mills for agreeing to sell the site to enable us to stay here. This agreement, and our ability to stay, would not have been possible without massive good will on their part.

How long is your lease?

We will have a long-term lease of 15 years from the new owner that will enable us to stay and develop this site long into the future. We will be celebrating this autumn before we begin exploring together what the exciting future of Brimscombe Mill could look like? Watch this space.

How can I get involved?

Join us in November at our community celebrations and discussions to help us shape plans for the next 15 years. We will be sharing info on dates for these discussions ASAP. We would love our whole community involved in this shaping.
